A blissful night of beautiful music at a venue I'd not been to before. The Stables is a wonderful, intimate space which suited these guys perfectly. It was the opening night of the tour, but everyone was supremely relaxed and (seemingly) effortlessly produced achingly soulful music. Not only that, apart from their own tunes, they even found space for a song each from Ray Charles and Neil Young. Ah, they made I very happy....
PS: For the more observant amongst you, yes there was only one Amazing Pilot (Paul) but he was well groovy.
